The AT&T Pioneers are a network of volunteers
who effect immediate, tangible change in local
communities, in partnership with AT&T. The AT&T
Pioneers are comprised of more than 325,000
current and retired AT&T employees who have
joined together to make their communities a
better place to live and work. Over the past
several years the Ohio AT&T Pioneers have
donated over thousands of Hooah Trees to our
troops, donated items the USO Canteen at
Cleveland Hopkins Airport, collect and
distribute personal care items to the VA
Hospitals and many other projects. We are very
proud of our relationship with the USO and
assisting our service personnel who sacrifice so
much for us all.

Pat Catan’s September 2008 “USO CAMO SCARF”
promotion was once again a big hit for their
customers. Catan’s provided free yarn and
knitting instructions, and customers could take
the yarn home, knit scarves, and return them to
the store. Customers knitted over 3,200 scarves
during the month, and these scarves were
delivered to the USO in early October. Catan’s
also collected $1 and $2 donations from their
customers and matched dollar-for-dollar, for a
total donation of $3,504.

Pat Catan’s employees who are either serving,
have served, of have a loved one serving in the
military are shown below, making the donation to
Deb Fisher at Pat Catan’s headquarter in
Strongsville on January 27th, 2009.
